Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Enio Bertassi started the match with the kick off. Mina's Wellington Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Bertassi in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Portinha SS's zone, Davi Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilmar Cruz came out of the goal and Davi Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Davi Cerezo in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilmar Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Mina getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Zézinho Martins hit a great ball. In the 16th match minute, Mina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Vides to maneuver through the defense. Nilmar Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi Cerezo in the 20th minute. After 20 minutes, Tibúrcio Bezerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portinha SS and the Mina players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Portinha SS got a freekick which was hit by Tibúrcio Bezerra. In the 22nd minute Donatello Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davi Cerezo scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nilmar Cruz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, José Augusto de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute of the match Renan Mello sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wellington Maia skillfully saved the ball. In the 32nd minute, Enio Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Enio Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portinha SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Enio Bertassi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wellington Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davi Cerezo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilmar Cruz saved Portinha SS from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Mina's Arnulfo Balboa got a free kick in the 48th minute. 49 minutes into the match, Portinha SS's Donatello Novaes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wellington Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mina's Cássio Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the game, Laerte Vides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portinha SS the free kick. In the 56th minute, Laerte Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wellington Maia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donatello Novaes in the 61st minute. Anísio Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 minutes, José Augusto de Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mina and the Portinha SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wellington Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Portinha SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. When Bartosz Moryl came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Mina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartosz Moryl couldn't finish the play. Wellington Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir Dias in the 80th minute of play. After 83 played minutes Portinha SS got a freekick which was hit by Váldson dos Santos. After a defensive mix-up in Portinha SS's zone, Bartosz Moryl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilmar Cruz came out of the goal and Bartosz Moryl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Bartosz Moryl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartosz Moryl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd match minute, Portinha SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir Dias to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Mina booed when Portinha SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donatello Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mina fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portinha SS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
