Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thiago Pinho started the match with the kick off. If Haroldo Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Haroldo Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Claudinho Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fernando Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Claudinho Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Engenharia Brasil's Thiago Pinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robinho Mattos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Engenharia Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Correia came free, but Claudinho Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pinho took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robinho Mattos. Robinho Mattos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Robinho Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Pinho in the 34th minute of the match. Thiago Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adelino Senna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudinho Diniz. Engenharia Brasil's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luís Fernando Correia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinho Diniz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Hermínio Romero hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Adelino Senna's shot from long distance in the 42nd minute was not bad at all, but Engenharia Brasil's Claudinho Diniz knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. If Lúcio Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fernando Correia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinho Diniz having to make a save. After the first half Engenharia Brasil were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fernando Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. Ronaldão Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 54 played minutes, Caranandiua's Adelino Senna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Claudinho Diniz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caranandiua reached it. In the 57th minute Haroldo Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juvenal Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Caranandiua's goalkeeper Robinho Mattos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lúcio Dracena. 62 minutes into the match, Engenharia Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Lucas came free, but Claudinho Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robinho Mattos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lúcio Dracena in the 64th minute. Robinho Mattos made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Lúcio Dracena sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Ronaldão Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Luís Fernando Correia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caranandiua fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Luís Fernando Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Haroldo Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caranandiua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Lucas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermínio Romero's late challenge caught a Caranandiua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermínio Romero helped the player get up and apologised. After 97 played minutes Engenharia Brasil got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Romero. After having played for 97 minutes, Luís Fernando Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caranandiua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fernando Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
