The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Batista having to interfere. Emanuel Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mondahy SS's Celso Carioca in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Mondahy SS's Zé Carlos Quadros got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Emanuel Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Batista made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Celso Carioca sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Celso Carioca got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 63rd minute, Ian Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celso Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Batista having to interfere. A collision led to Mondahy SS getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Zé Carlos Quadros hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute Emanuel Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mondahy SS's Mauro Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Prestes in the 75th minute of play. With his leg Nelson Batista managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Mondahy SS's Celso Carioca fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nelson Batista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Carioca in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Celso Carioca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Batista was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.
