Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yuri Messias started the match with the kick off. After 5 played minutes E.C Chiuaua got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Trigo. After a rather tough play, Fresno de Pelotas FC's Eugênio Quirino got a free kick in the 7th minute. Duarte Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Figueiredo in the 10th minute of the match. If Haroldo Ignado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléber Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duarte Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kléber Figueiredo went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to E.C Chiuaua getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Róbson Coutinho hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Kléber Figueiredo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duarte Monteiro was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. A collision led to Fresno de Pelotas FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bernardo Perazzolo hit a great ball. Duarte Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber Figueiredo in the 27th minute of play. Duarte Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Betinho Carioca went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Fresno de Pelotas FC's Haroldo Ignado got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fresno de Pelotas FC's Eugênio Quirino shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Anísio Reis but with some difficulty. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Kléber Figueiredo made the kick off in the second half. Kléber Figueiredos short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Duarte Monteiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Haroldo Ignado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Reis having to interfere. With his leg Duarte Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when E.C Chiuaua's Kléber Figueiredo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Willian Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugênio Quirino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anísio Reis. E.C Chiuaua's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 69th minute, Fresno de Pelotas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kléber Figueiredo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Haroldo Ignado might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anísio Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Ignado ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Duarte Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when E.C Chiuaua's Kléber Figueiredo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Fresno de Pelotas FC's zone, Betinho Carioca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Monteiro came out of the goal and Betinho Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of E.C Chiuaua booed when Fresno de Pelotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldo Ignado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anísio Reis having to make a save. If Haroldo Ignado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Ignado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anísio Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Duarte Monteiro was a little too slow when Kléber Figueiredo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-3. E.C Chiuaua played a much better game than Fresno de Pelotas FC and deserved their victory. The Fresno de Pelotas FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
