Gilmar Machado lost his temper 5 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Paragua FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tiago FC:s goal. José Paulo Batista walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Evandro Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Renatinho Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Maria Motta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kaká Tróia went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Tiago FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Evandro Quintal hit a great ball. The supporters of Tiago FC booed when Paragua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matheus Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute of the match José Paulo Batista sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renatinho Dracena skillfully saved the ball. In the 35th minute Gernando Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renatinho Dracena made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Cafu Dracena sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 48 minutes, Gernando Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paragua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernando Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

After a rather tough play, Tiago FC's Evandro Quintal got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 0-2 became the score in the 53rd minute when Gernando Lopez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 60th minute Kaká Tróia suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Evandro Quintal's late challenge caught a Paragua FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evandro Quintal helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tiago FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Evandro Quintal hit a great ball. Renatinho Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Paragua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Paraense came free, but Renatinho Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cafu Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Cafu Dracena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renatinho Dracena. Paragua FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cafu Dracena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Paragua FC's Renatinho Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Paraense in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Paragua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Paraense came free, but Renatinho Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 played minutes Paragua FC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Teixeira. Cafu Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaltino Alagoano's late challenge caught a Tiago FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Paragua FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
