Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Walmir Lago took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Acácio Queirós during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Acácio Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Deivid Mazza put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Adilson Galvão. Adilson Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Quadros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adilson Galvão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to Buarque getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Fernando Mazza hit a great ball. When Walmir Lago came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Stray Dogs S. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmir Lago couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Augusto Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buarque's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adilson Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Camargo during the 18th minute. Luiz Fabiano Alcântara made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 33rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Vinícius Brasil would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Luiz Fabiano Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Deivid Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adilson Galvão having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Alcântara put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vinícius Brasil. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a defensive mix-up in Buarque's zone, Walmir Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinícius Brasil came out of the goal and Walmir Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vinícius Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Luiz Fabiano Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Vinícius Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Buarque's Mateus Teles got a free kick in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Luiz Fabiano Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stray Dogs S. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fabiano Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinícius Brasil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luiz Fabiano Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Vinícius Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stray Dogs S. C.. 84 minutes into the match, Buarque's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Lago came free, but Vinícius Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stray Dogs S. C.'s Germano Sena got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Buarque's Augusto Quadros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adilson Galvão. Adilson Galvão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Adilson Galvão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deivid Mazza in the 95th minute. The Buarque players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Stray Dogs S. C. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
