Itaim EC's Jonas Guedes got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Aprazivel getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Nascimento hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Aprazivel's goalkeeper Oswaldo Campidelis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Carlos do Vale. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaká Godoi during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kaká Godoi hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The supporters of Itaim EC booed when Aprazivel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Itaim EC's Zé Carlos do Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Aprazivel getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Toninho Lopes hit a great ball. In the 26th match minute, Itaim EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Recife to maneuver through the defense. When Bruninho Matos came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Aprazivel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruninho Matos couldn't finish the play. Itaim EC's Jeferson Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Godoi in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Toninho Lopes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeferson Prata was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, Aprazivel's Oswaldo Campidelis got control of the ball when Zé Carlos do Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Aprazivel getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Toninho Lopes hit a great ball. Bruninho Matos struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Jeferson Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aprazivel. 46 minutes into the game, Bruninho Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jeferson Prata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Aprazivel were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Guedes to strike the kick off in the second half. Kaká Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jeferson Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Aprazivel's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos do Vale came free, but Oswaldo Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeferson Prata was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bruninho Matos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 67 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Guedes in the 72nd minute of play forced Aprazivel's goalkeeper Oswaldo Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos do Vale in the 76th minute of play. A collision led to Aprazivel getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Thiago Gaúcho hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Aprazivel's Bruninho Matos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeferson Prata narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaká Godoi got free with Jeferson Prata in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Carlos do Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute Bruninho Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeferson Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Itaim EC's Jonas Guedes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oswaldo Campidelis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kaká Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Jeferson Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Itaim EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Aprazivel were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
