In the 7th minute, Vitinho Passos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Tião Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, João Vítor Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guto Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Guto Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrício Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Anhandui's zone, João Adolfo Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tião Alagoano came out of the goal and João Adolfo Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, João Adolfo Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dráusio de Amorim during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Galaxy FC's Dráusio de Amorim got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 42 played minutes Real Galaxy FC got a freekick which was hit by Dráusio de Amorim. After some careless play in the Real Galaxy FC defense, Patrício Cosme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guto Esteves. The Real Galaxy FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guto Esteves should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrício Cosme was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Miguel Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Galaxy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Real Galaxy FC's Vitinho Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Perez succeeded in the game's 59th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Tião Alagoano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Perez's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. The audience was convinced that Miguel Perez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tião Alagoano was relentless in the 65th minute of the game.
