An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Martins in the 17th minute of play forced Passarinhos FC's goalkeeper Frédson de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frédson de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaltino Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Denílson Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson de Brito having to interfere. When Garamparo AD's Isaltino Monteiro in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 46th minute, Denílson Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frédson de Brito was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivo Quadros to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Ivo Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Passarinhos FC's Frédson de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Passarinhos FC from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Isaltino Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dé de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Róbson Furtado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Passarinhos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garamparo AD the free kick.
