Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sydney Madureira started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Timonha EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. Ipitanga's João Augusto Faria shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Guto Branco but with some difficulty. Antônio Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guto Branco having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Christiano Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sydney Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sydney Madureira in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso Sabóia saved Ipitanga from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Sydney Madureira notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ipitanga's Narciso Sabóia. Narciso Sabóia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute, Sydney Madureira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narciso Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Sydney Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Sabóia having to interfere. The supporters of Ipitanga booed when Timonha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arí Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Frederico Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ipitanga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by João Augusto Faria in the 37th minute. Antônio Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Guto Branco made a huge save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frederico Paulista to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Frederico Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kiko do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Madureira in the 63rd minute of play. In the 67th minute Frederico Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney Madureira struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Narciso Sabóia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timonha EC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Madureira in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antônio Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 75 minutes, Frederico Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipitanga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederico Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 79 played minutes Ipitanga got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Paulista. When Jonas Rossi fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Timonha EC's protests and gave Jonas Rossi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Jonas Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guto Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ipitanga's Narciso Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Madureira in the 87th minute of play. Guto Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Alcântara in the 88th minute of play. The Timonha EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
