In the 19th minute of the match Jorge Zonta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrézinho Vergílio skillfully saved the ball. Claudinei Nóbrega didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 20th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Leandro de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Nóbrega having to interfere. The supporters of Itanhenga FC booed when Pitombas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruninho Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pitombas EC's zone, Leandro de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Nóbrega came out of the goal and Leandro de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinho Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Nóbrega having to interfere. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Pitombas EC's Claudinei Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro de Amaral in the 75th minute of play. Benjamin Faustino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrézinho Vergílio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. If Leandro de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute of the match Ademar Paraense shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinei Nóbrega showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Itanhenga FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pitombas EC for a fine match.
