Dinei Berger came out of the goal and Otávio de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Valdemar de Brito made the kick off in the second half. Dinei Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Otávio de Azevedo in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinei Berger saved Mamata AD from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, Mamata AD's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Bueno came free, but Dinei Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Calisto SS booed when Mamata AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Zeca Alves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dinei Berger skillfully saved the ball. Hortêncio Moreira was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Denílson Pitta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Denílson Pitta really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. If Nildo do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Mamata AD's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio de Azevedo came free, but Dinei Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdemar de Brito struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Hortêncio Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mamata AD. After a rather tough play, Calisto SS's Dino Bueno got a free kick in the 95th minute. Chants of Mamata AD echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Calisto SS had held the ball for most of the match.
