With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Pedro Faria in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iuri Moura saved Meirus SS from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, José Pedro Faria put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Iuri Moura. In the 25th match minute, Domingos AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Cosme to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Linares got free with Rogério Sampaio in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomás Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iuri Moura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilson Fernandez's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. José Pedro Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Iuri Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Ernani Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Domingos AD were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Pedro Faria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Wilson Fernandez made a precise shot to the right of Iuri Moura. Meirus SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Domingos AD's Rogério Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Breckenfeld in the 60th minute of play. Ernani Linares took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Sampaio. Rogério Sampaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Domingos AD's Rogério Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Linares in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Chico Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Rogério Sampaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Domingos AD's José Pedro Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 played minutes Meirus SS got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Valadares. Ernani Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Rogério Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chico Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro Faria in the 92nd minute of play forced Meirus SS's goalkeeper Iuri Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Meirus SS's Denílson Pimenta suffered a concussion after 98 minutes and had to leave the field. When Walmir Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Domingos AD's protests and gave Walmir Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
