Ciro Lucas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Ciro Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Valdomiro Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Róbson Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guadalajara Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbson Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Caconda's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Falcão came free, but Carlos Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caconda's Carlos Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson Lopez in the 46th minute of play.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Guadalajara Esporte Clube walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
