Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Gatinho fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Gatinho's Vitinho Passos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Régis Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vânderson Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Amauri Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Passos in the 18th minute of play. Vânderson Pires was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tarcisio Peixoto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Netto got free with Vânderson Pires in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the game, Renan Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blαck Pαитнєяร Uxx's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gatinho the free kick. The supporters of Gatinho booed when Blαck Pαитнєяร Uxx was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Romeu Mendes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amauri Penha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Joaquim Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Blαck Pαитнєяร Uxx booed when Gatinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Trigo's late challenge caught a Blαck Pαитнєяร Uxx's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Nuno Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 played minutes, Blαck Pαитнєяร Uxx's Dieguinho Pontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vânderson Pires came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Blαck Pαитнєяร Uxx reached it. Amauri Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joaquim Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Gatinho got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Vieira. Joaquim Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Gatinho were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vitinho Passos made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Vitinho Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Rômulo de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Blαck Pαитнєяร Uxx's zone, Vitinho Passos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amauri Penha came out of the goal and Vitinho Passos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amauri Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Passos in the 62nd minute of the match. Vitinho Passos took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amauri Penha. Amauri Penha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Joaquim Netto succeeded in the game's 75th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Blαck Pαитнєяร Uxx's Joaquim Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 89 minutes of play, Blαck Pαитнєяร Uxx's Enrique Valle made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vânderson Pires was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Blαck Pαитнєяร Uxx's Renan Mesquita got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Vitinho Passos charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitinho Passos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Gatinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho Passos to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
