Compasso FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maneco FC the free kick. Almir Maranhenses short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Betinho Dante to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Compasso FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Edson Mazza hit a great ball. Jacinto Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeu Lima in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Nogueira saved Maneco FC from getting behind. In the 17thth minute of the game Pedro Paulo Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maneco FC's Jacinto Nogueira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Caio Barros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Betinho Dante. Caio Barros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, Compasso FC's Betinho Dante got control of the ball when Almir Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caio Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Maneco FC's Betinho Dante threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luís dos Santos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pedro Paulo Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Didi Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Compasso FC's protests and gave Didi Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Compasso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Mazza to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Barros in the 42nd minute of play forced Compasso FC's goalkeeper Betinho Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Pedro Paulo Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Compasso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Paulo Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Caio Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Betinho Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Compasso FC's zone, Almir Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betinho Dante came out of the goal and Almir Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Caio Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 minutes, Romeu Lima made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Maneco FC's Jacinto Nogueira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Romeu Lima came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Compasso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeu Lima couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Pedro Paulo Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Nogueira was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. If Almir Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute, Compasso FC's Pedro Paulo Coelho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacinto Nogueira. Jacinto Nogueira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3.
