Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tiago Sampaio made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Inveia AD's zone, Andrézinho Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nildo Dantas came out of the goal and Andrézinho Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Dráuzio Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nildo Dantas was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Nildo Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Sampaio's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Dráuzio Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 27 minutes into the match, Varjoia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Schmidt came free, but Eliseu dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu dos Santos having to interfere. Eliseu dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Schmidt in the 31st minute of play. Eliseu dos Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Leme went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Marco Leme came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Inveia AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Leme couldn't finish the play. Eliseu dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseu dos Santos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 42nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from João Francisco Leão. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Schmidt to strike the kick off in the second half. Nildo Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Dráuzio Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Dantas having to interfere. Varjoia AD's Dráuzio Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ernesto Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dráuzio Coelho scored 1-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nildo Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nildo Dantas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dráuzio Coelho in the 79th minute. Eliseu dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Schmidt in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliseu dos Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th match minute, Varjoia AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Marco Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dráuzio Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Dantas having to interfere. Eliseu dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Leme in the 95th minute of play. The Varjoia AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Varjoia AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
