After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Gervasio Qwinton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wilson Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute Geovânio da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovânio da Silva in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Castro saved Niteroi SS from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovânio da Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Iassi's zone, Gervasio Qwinton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Reis came out of the goal and Gervasio Qwinton tried to chip the ball over his head. Gervasio Qwinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Gervasio Qwinton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Niteroi SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 92 played minutes Niteroi SS got a freekick which was hit by Dé Brito.
