The supporters of RodMachine booed when Arsenal Brasil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dedê Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Valladares having to interfere. With an all-out effort, RodMachine's Dorival Valladares threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roberto Travassos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dedê Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Dorival Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
