An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho de Lima in the 12th minute of play forced Espalha EC's goalkeeper Romeu Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério de Azevedo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Maicon Barbosa firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 16 played minutes Bojuru FC got a freekick which was hit by Durval Cunha. Maicon Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilvan Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aníbal Rezende in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu Pitta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rogério de Azevedo got free with Maicon Barbosa in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29thth minute of the game Claudinho de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espalha EC's Romeu Pitta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho de Lima in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Pitta saved Espalha EC from getting behind. 33 minutes into the game, Aílton Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espalha EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bojuru FC the free kick. The supporters of Bojuru FC booed when Espalha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romeu Pitta came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Bojuru FC's Aníbal Rezende. But to his dismay, Aníbal Rezende quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Aníbal Rezende put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Romeu Pitta. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinho de Lima made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Bojuru FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério de Azevedo came free, but Maicon Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maicon Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Matos in the 54th minute of the match. A hard shot 57 in the game by Aníbal Rezende from a close distance when the talented Romeu Pitta managed to make a qualified save. Espalha EC's players were relieved. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Claudinho de Lima sped through Espalha EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Romeu Pitta. After 63 played minutes Espalha EC got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Tinoco. In the 64th minute, Sebastião Cabral sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Espalha EC's Romeu Pitta didn't even have to move. Aílton Tinoco hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Claudinho de Lima received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Romeu Pitta came out and tried to block the shot, but Claudinho de Lima slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 71st minute. In the 77th minute Claudinho de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeu Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho de Lima in the 79th minute of play. Aníbal Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Espalha EC booed when Bojuru FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Claudinho de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Espalha EC's zone, Aníbal Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeu Pitta came out of the goal and Aníbal Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Espalha EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bojuru FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
