Gabriel Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Zé Pedro Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Dênis Pitta sent off a good shot on target. Dênis Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charles Ribeiro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 47th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilian Aguiar in the 83rd minute of play forced Marumby's goalkeeper Gabriel Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Charles Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
