Eurico Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Ramos in the 6th minute of play. Ezequiel da Costa hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Prestes in the 11th minute of play forced Meia-Boca Juniors FC's goalkeeper Eurico Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vito de Azevedo in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Lara saved Timao Zona Leste from getting behind. Eurico Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Prestes in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Cipriano Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Meia-Boca Juniors FC's goalkeeper Eurico Ortiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovânio Ramos. 37 minutes into the match, Vito de Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guga Lara. Timao Zona Leste's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vito de Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Geovânio Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Belchior Branco from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Eurico Ortiz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 47th minute of the match, Francisco Borges tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eurico Ortiz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After the first half Meia-Boca Juniors FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Eurico Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Prestes in the 54th minute of the match. Eurico Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Ramos in the 55th minute of play. Cipriano Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fernando Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Guga Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Timao Zona Leste's zone, Luiz Fernando Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guga Lara came out of the goal and Luiz Fernando Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd match minute, Meia-Boca Juniors FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Maciel to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Meia-Boca Juniors FC defense, Francisco Borges kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico Ortiz. The Meia-Boca Juniors FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico Ortiz should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute Zé Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fernando Zanette did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Guga Lara 76 minutes into the match. The supporters of Timao Zona Leste booed when Meia-Boca Juniors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eurico Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Prestes in the 81st minute of the match. Cássio Maciel hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Luiz Fernando Zanette took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Guga Lara to make any attempt to save it. When Cássio Maciel came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Meia-Boca Juniors FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Maciel couldn't finish the play. Meia-Boca Juniors FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
