After 4 played minutes Arcado EC got a freekick which was hit by Vito Santos. 8 minutes into the game, Haroldo da Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Caio Cearense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vargem EC's Mané da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 13 played minutes Arcado EC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Queiroz. With a little luck, Vargem EC's Eugênio Lira got control of the ball when Márcio de Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vito Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 23rd match minute, Arcado EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Arcado EC's Caio Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo da Fonseca in the 28th minute of play. Bernardo Urbano's late challenge caught a Vargem EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. Bernardo Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Arcado EC's Bernardo Urbano got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Mané da Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vargem EC's Haroldo da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Roberto Cearense took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Caio Cearense. Arcado EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Caio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Haroldo da Fonseca succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Nildo Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Caio Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Arcado EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vargem EC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vito Santos made a kick off. In the 57th minute, Jean Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caio Cearense didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Vargem EC's Haroldo da Fonseca shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Caio Cearense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mané da Silveira in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Vargem EC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Haroldo da Fonseca hit a great ball. Vargem EC's Mané da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Arcado EC's Caio Cearense got control of the ball when Mané da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arcado EC's Caio Cearense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Arcado EC from getting a goal against them. Mané da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Arcado EC's Jean Simões got a free kick in the 86th minute. Mané da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo da Fonseca in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caio Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caio Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo da Fonseca in the 96th minute of play. Vargem EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
