Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Haroldo da Fonseca took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th match minute, Contracto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Eger to maneuver through the defense. In the 12thth minute of the game Haroldo da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Contracto's Dênis Cosme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Contracto's goalkeeper Dênis Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mané da Silveira. Haroldo da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernani Soares's late challenge caught a Vargem EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernani Soares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Hernani Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Lira having to interfere. Mané da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Cosme having to interfere. A collision led to Contracto getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gernando Trigo hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Mané da Silveira in the 44th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a rather tough play, Contracto's Renato Eger got a free kick in the 46th minute. Nildo Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

52 minutes into the game, Haroldo da Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dênis Cosme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Haroldo da Fonseca sped through Contracto's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dênis Cosme. Mané da Silveira took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dênis Cosme. Dênis Cosme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Mané da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vargem EC's protests and gave Mané da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. Haroldo da Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dênis Cosme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Haroldo da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Cosme having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Mané da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vargem EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mané da Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dênis Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo da Fonseca in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dênis Cosme saved Contracto from getting behind. 89 minutes into the game, Vargem EC's Mané da Silveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dênis Cosme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The Vargem EC fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Vargem EC's Mané da Silveira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vargem EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
