The Ponte preta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Paulo Varela should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Baiano in the 27th minute of play forced Tacho AD's goalkeeper Ion Archiudean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guilherme Berger to make the kick off. Guilherme Berger was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tacho AD's Ion Archiudean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Oliveira in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, João Carlos Vianna fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ion Archiudean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Oliveira in the 64th minute of the match. The Ion Archiudean was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ion Archiudean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ion Archiudean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Velloso in the 91st minute of the match.
