Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcus Fernandez started the match with the kick off. Douglas Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Azevedo in the 4th minute of play. Giuseppe Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Guerra having to interfere. Vitório Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 14th minute Christian Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Jeremias Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind E.C Salvador's goalkeeper Douglas Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to E.C Salvador getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Giuseppe Sabóia hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Christian Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Douglas Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Christian Simões struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Douglas Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Conde. After 40 minutes, Amadeu Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Conde and the E.C Salvador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Amadeu Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd match minute, E.C Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico de Barros to maneuver through the defense. Douglas Salgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adelino Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Christian Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 51st minute of the match, Adelino Azevedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Douglas Salgado saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the E.C Salvador defense, Adelino Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Douglas Salgado. The E.C Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Douglas Salgado should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Adelino Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Salgado was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Christian Simões took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Douglas Salgado. Douglas Salgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. With an all-out effort, Conde's Douglas Salgado threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adelino Azevedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in E.C Salvador's zone, Christian Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Salgado came out of the goal and Christian Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Conde fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Conde's Christian Simões looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Adelino Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Salgado was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Douglas Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Azevedo in the 77th minute of play. E.C Salvador's players were relieved. 82 minutes into the match, E.C Salvador's goalkeeper Douglas Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Simões. E.C Salvador's Marcus Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Conde supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Conde would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
