Léo Quaresma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georg Matsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Carlinhos Maia fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E.LosPicas's protests and gave Carlinhos Maia a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Georg Matsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Léo Quaresma. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Elfo Aion's Valdemar Guimarães got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Eugênio Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elfo Aion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E.LosPicas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Elfo Aion's Eugênio Ramalho got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Abel Pena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yuri Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Mandrak in the 27th minute of play. Léo Quaresma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georg Matsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eugênio Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugênio Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Quaresma having to interfere. Gino Leite was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. A collision led to S.E.LosPicas getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Gino Leite hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, S.E.LosPicas's goalkeeper Léo Quaresma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugênio Ramalho. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, S.E.LosPicas's Abel Pena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yuri Breckenfeld narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Georg Matsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Léo Quaresma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Eugênio Ramalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Léo Quaresma was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Eugênio Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Quaresma having to interfere. Léo Quaresma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Georg Matsson's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. When Roberto Leal fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elfo Aion's protests and gave Roberto Leal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, Elfo Aion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Leal to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, S.E.LosPicas's Abel Pena got a free kick in the 84th minute. S.E.LosPicas's Léo Quaresma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georg Matsson in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in S.E.LosPicas's zone, Georg Matsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léo Quaresma came out of the goal and Georg Matsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Paulo Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Elfo Aion fully deserved thier win.
