Rogério Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Vladimir Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egídio Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Emanuel Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egídio Ramalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Egídio Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Abreu in the 20th minute of play. Tarcisio Maranhense's late challenge caught a Namorado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tarcisio Maranhense helped the player get up and apologised. Tarcisio Maranhense hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Telmo Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Namorado's Raimundo Prata got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st match minute, Paraisinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Vides to maneuver through the defense. Paraisinho's Tarcisio Maranhense got his second yellow card of the match in the 34th minute. The referee ordered Tarcisio Maranhense off the ground. A collision led to Paraisinho getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Tarcisio Maranhense hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Namorado's goalkeeper Egídio Ramalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Paraisinho's Emanuel Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egídio Ramalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogério Severo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Emanuel Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraisinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio Ramalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Telmo Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Flavinho Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Ramalho having to interfere. Raimundo Prata struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Vladimir Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Namorado. Nilson Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paraisinho's Emanuel Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Rogério Severo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Namorado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Emanuel Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Ramalho having to interfere.
