In the 10th minute Luciano Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Umary booed when Magalhaes SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alan Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Ramos in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Ramos in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alan Campidelis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Naldo Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Amorim having to interfere. Túlio Martins was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Erik Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Umary's protests and gave Erik Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. Erik Queiroz hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The goalkeeper, Ricardo Amorim, was totally fooled by Magalhaes SS's Túlio Martins, who 33 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Ramos in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alan Campidelis saved Magalhaes SS from getting behind. Ramiro Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Fernandinho Soeiro made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Magalhaes SS booed when Umary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Naldo Macedo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Umary's Ricardo Amorim. Ricardo Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
