Paulo Martinez took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Eduardo Moura. Carlos Eduardo Moura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Paulo Martinez struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. After 12 minutes of play, Mangue SC's Zacarias Figueiredo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juvenal de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 15 minutes into the match, kidsgraça futebol clube's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Tepedino came free, but Juvenal de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulão Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Juvenal de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Eduardo Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Zacarias Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangue SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Martinez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute Claudinho Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Agostinho Rezende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. kidsgraça futebol clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mangue SC the free kick. Agostinho Rezende hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. kidsgraça futebol clube's Juvenal de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Garcia in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rdth minute of the game Claudinho Neiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mangue SC's Carlos Eduardo Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Garcia in the 46th minute of play forced kidsgraça futebol clube's goalkeeper Juvenal de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes kidsgraça futebol clube got a freekick which was hit by Silvinho Duarte. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulão Garcia to make the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Paulão Garcia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juvenal de Moraes. kidsgraça futebol clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulão Garcia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Mangue SC's zone, Claudinho Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Eduardo Moura came out of the goal and Claudinho Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juvenal de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Figueiredo in the 82nd minute of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mangue SC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Moura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulo Martinez struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Carlos Eduardo Moura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
