Itanhum SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Itanhum SC's Simão Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Simão Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Galvão struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Vicente Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itanhum SC. Elias Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Vicente Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Abelardo Perez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itanhum SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Vicente Brodel came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Itanhum SC's Abelardo Perez. But to his dismay, Abelardo Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Itanhum SC's Simão Galvão in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Milionários Fc's goalie prevented a goal. Abelardo Perez struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Milionários Fc's goalkeeper Vicente Brodel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Simão Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Milionários Fc getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Nildo Cearense hit a great ball. Gugu Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Gugu Zilles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Itanhum SC's Simão Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodoro Esteves was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Milionários Fc's zone, Abelardo Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Brodel came out of the goal and Abelardo Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Gugu Zilles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itanhum SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu Zilles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Gugu Zilles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itanhum SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu Zilles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Brodel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute, Simão Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simão Galvão took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vicente Brodel. Vicente Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Simão Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Itanhum SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
