An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Marinho in the 23rd minute of play forced Marianna SC's goalkeeper Dinei Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomasina AD's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elano Aguiar in the 24th minute. The corner led to Tomasina AD's Luiz Eduardo Figueiredo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Marianna SC's Dinei Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson de Almeida in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Marcel Marinho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dinei Mesquita. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 34th minute, Lino de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes, Marianna SC's Adolfo Valladares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodrigo Prestes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marianna SC reached it. Tomasina AD's Rodrigo Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizinho Mumbach in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Válter Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tomasina AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Válter Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dé Cunha was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Luizinho Mumbach cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rodrigo Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dinei Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marianna SC's Dinei Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Faria in the 60th minute of play. Dinei Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 65 minutes, Luiz Eduardo Linhares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marianna SC and the Tomasina AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Marianna SC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Linhares. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson de Almeida in the 68th minute of play forced Marianna SC's goalkeeper Dinei Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Gerber's late challenge caught a Tomasina AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th minute, Angelo Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Marcel Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Dinei Mesquita. Marianna SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Válter Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Dinei Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Marinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinei Mesquita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marianna SC's Angelo Gerber got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 90 played minutes Marianna SC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Valladares. After a rather tough play, Marianna SC's Luizinho Mumbach got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the Tomasina AD players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
