Marcel Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Tomasina AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Teodoro Esteves fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Marcel Marinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Brodel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Vicente Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válter Faria in the 15th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Milionários Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Faria came free, but Vicente Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Rodrigo Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Marinho in the 26th minute of play forced Milionários Fc's goalkeeper Vicente Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marcel Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Válter Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Vicente Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Tomasina AD's Gilson de Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vicente Brodel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to Tomasina AD getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gilson de Almeida hit a great ball. Válter Faria hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Tomasina AD. Elano Aguiar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vicente Brodel. 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Tomasina AD booed when Milionários Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Válter Faria's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Vicente Brodel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Milionários Fc's Vicente Brodel got control of the ball when Válter Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Esteves in the 60th minute of play forced Tomasina AD's goalkeeper Rodrigo Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fernando Severo charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fernando Severo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, one of Milionários Fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Milionários Fc. In the 70th minute, Marcel Marinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tomasina AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Vicente Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Sampaio in the 75th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Válter Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Brodel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After a defensive mix-up in Milionários Fc's zone, Marcel Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Brodel came out of the goal and Marcel Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, Milionários Fc's goalkeeper Vicente Brodel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válter Faria. In the 86th minute, Válter Faria fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vicente Brodel, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Tomasina AD's Válter Faria got a free kick in the 88th minute. Milionários Fc's Vicente Brodel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Milionários Fc from getting a goal against them. Vicente Brodel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Válter Faria in the 91st minute. Válter Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Vicente Brodel made a huge save. Milionários Fc's Vicente Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Marinho in the 99th minute of play. Tomasina AD played a much better game than Milionários Fc and deserved their victory. The Milionários Fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
