In the 28th minute of the match Angelo Gerber sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benê Salgado skillfully saved the ball. If Luizinho Mumbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dé Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dé Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Itanhum SC booed when Marianna SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Abelardo Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Saraiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Dinei Mesquita made a huge save. Itanhum SC's Simão Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Abelardo Perez came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Itanhum SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Perez couldn't finish the play. Elias Saraiva struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Dinei Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itanhum SC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dé Cunha in the 82nd minute of play forced Itanhum SC's goalkeeper Benê Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Simão Galvão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itanhum SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 89th minute, Simão Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simão Galvão struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute.
