Zeca Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Pena in the 3rd minute of play. If Hugo Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Itapeacu's zone, André Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Leme came out of the goal and André Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tiago Gabriel Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chorozinho FC's Tomás Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Gabriel Pombal in the 21st minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Pombal struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Tomás Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itapeacu. After 40 played minutes Itapeacu got a freekick which was hit by Tomás de Azevedo. A hard shot by Ruy Cordeiro from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Zeca Leme's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jano Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Zeca Leme made a huge save. Rogério Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Jano Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiago Gabriel Pombal made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Itapeacu's Tiago Gabriel Pombal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tomás Maia. That made the score 0-1 after 54 minutes of play. Davi Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Itapeacu's goal looked a bit too open when André Pena came free, but Zeca Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chorozinho FC's Hugo Linhares got a free kick in the 68th minute. Glauco Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Rogério Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute André Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 1-1 when André Pena sped through Itapeacu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zeca Leme. After a defensive mix-up in Itapeacu's zone, Jano Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Leme came out of the goal and Jano Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
