André Pena's late challenge caught a Garra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Pena helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chorozinho FC's André Pena got a free kick in the 9th minute. Garra's Claudinho Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Pena in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Arce during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Garra getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Afonso Arce hit a great ball. If Jano Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garra's Claudinho Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Pena in the 24th minute of play. André Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Chorozinho FC's goalkeeper Tomás Maia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evandro de Sena. The supporters of Garra booed when Chorozinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jano Borges in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinho Amorim saved Garra from getting behind. Claudinho Amorim came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Chorozinho FC's André Pena. But to his dismay, André Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jano Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Jano Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chorozinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jano Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinho Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso Arce was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Jano Borges left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chorozinho FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. André Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luizinho Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jano Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Afonso Arce took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Maia. Tomás Maia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Rubinho Guerra put in a rough tackle. After 79 played minutes Chorozinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Linhares. Garra's Luiz Paulo Félix couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Chorozinho FC. When Garra's Evandro de Sena in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chorozinho FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 87th minute, Severino Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Garra's goalkeeper Claudinho Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chorozinho FC's Jano Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinho Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Arce in the 100th minute of play. Chorozinho FC played a much better game than Garra and deserved their victory. The Garra players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
