He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arreios SS reached it. In the 26th minute, Jardim's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Christian Souza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When Christian Souza got free in front of the goal in the 56th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Manfredo Amaral was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jardim's goalkeeper Manfredo Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
