Arreios SS's Léo Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Falcão in the 39th minute of play. After 41 minutes, Moisés Goiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arreios SS and the Tronqueira players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Arreios SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tronqueira:s goal.
