Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aleandro Proença started the match with the kick off. If Vitinho Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitinho Oliveira in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldir Valadares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 16 minutes, Dagoberto Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niquelandia and the Tortinho SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleandro Proença in the 19th minute of play forced Tortinho SC's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armindo Rosado got free with Waldir Valadares in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Armindo Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Niquelandia's zone, Vitinho Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Valadares came out of the goal and Vitinho Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armindo Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardinho Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Zacarias da Silva shot from long distance in the 35th minute, but Waldir Valadares was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. When Vitinho Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Tortinho SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Oliveira couldn't finish the play. 2-0 became the score in the 41st minute when Vitinho Oliveira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jonas Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Niquelandia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Tortinho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu Borges in the 47th minute of play forced Tortinho SC's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitinho Oliveira to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Armindo Rosado notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Niquelandia's Waldir Valadares. Waldir Valadares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Armindo Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the game, Vitinho Oliveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Waldir Valadares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th minute Vitinho Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Bernardinho Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Niquelandia defense, Armindo Rosado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir Valadares. The Niquelandia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir Valadares should have stopped the shot. Aleandro Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vitinho Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Waldir Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vitinho Oliveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldir Valadares was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
