The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano Torres during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tapira's Luciano Torres got a free kick in the 13th minute. Marco Cardoso scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliézer de Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sílvio Luiz Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Brito having to interfere. The supporters of Tapira booed when Llop F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliézer de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Cardoso in the 26th minute of play. Eliézer de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 34th minute, Geraldo Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Luiz Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 minutes, Luís Fernando Paranaense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Llop F.C and the Tapira players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Llop F.C's Luís Fernando Paranaense got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute Marco Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Llop F.C's Moisés Cardozo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gugu Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Cardoso was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Llop F.C's Sílvio Luiz Eger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gugu Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Gugu Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moisés Cardozo's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Marco Cardoso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 60th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Eliézer de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Tapira's Adalmo Nogueira. But to his dismay, Adalmo Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 70 minutes into the match, Llop F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Cardoso came free, but Eliézer de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Llop F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tapira:s goal. The referee gave Tapira a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Miguel Cearense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Llop F.C's Eliézer de Medeiros. 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Cardoso in the 81st minute of play forced Llop F.C's goalkeeper Eliézer de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was beautiful to see Llop F.C's Inácio de Barros in action when he in the 84th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 87th minute Marco Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luiz Eger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gugu Brito having to make a save. 91 minutes into the match, Marco Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliézer de Medeiros. Llop F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Moisés Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tapira eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
