In the 9th minute, Chico Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Jeremoabo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo Fernandez came free, but Júlio Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Nunes having to interfere. After having played for 24 minutes, Jean Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jeremoabo EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Chico Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Jeremoabo EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Mandrak couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, Matuapira SS's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Correia came free, but Dida Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Betão Paraibano during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Jeremoabo EC got a freekick which was hit by Betão Paraibano. Matuapira SS's Dida Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Brito in the 36th minute of play. Jean Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felippe de Amaral's late challenge caught a Matuapira SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felippe de Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Matuapira SS booed when Jeremoabo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felippe de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Jean Correia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dida Nunes having to make a save. Rony Abraão hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Dida Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean Correia in the 73rd minute. Júlio Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Guerra in the 75th minute of the match. When Jean Correia came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Jeremoabo EC fans jumped to their feet. Jean Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Dida Nunes made a huge save. In the 91st minute, Jean Correia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dida Nunes, passed just outside the right post. Jean Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Dida Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Jeremoabo EC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
