Zé Augusto Sena was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cássio Valle. Tiaguinho Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. rondoense's Zé Augusto Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo de Brito in the 16th minute of play. Angelo Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Moisés Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Freire having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Pequeri's Zé Augusto Sena threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Erasmo de Brito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Angelo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Zé Augusto Sena managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Pequeri's Ulisses Prestes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 38 minutes into the match, rondoense's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo de Brito came free, but Zé Augusto Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pequeri's Ulisses Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A well placed Erasmo de Brito short distance shot in the 43rd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erasmo de Brito to make the kick off. Elias Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Moisés Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
