Frederico Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Meireles having to interfere. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dsb fc's goalkeeper Willian Meireles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Betão das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sarzeda SC's Frederico Toledo got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ramón Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Britto having to interfere. Wilian Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Dsb fc's zone, Emílio Peixoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willian Meireles came out of the goal and Emílio Peixoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Peixoto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Peixoto in the 55th minute of play forced Dsb fc's goalkeeper Willian Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Dsb fc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sarzeda SC:s goal. Willian Meireles had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Percy Brodel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Maurinho Vergílio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarzeda SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dsb fc the free kick. A collision led to Sarzeda SC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Maurinho Vergílio hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilian Meirelles in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magno Britto saved Sarzeda SC from getting behind. Willian Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Peixoto in the 68th minute of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Ramón Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dsb fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramón Favoretto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Willian Meireles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederico Toledo in the 76th minute. If Frederico Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Sidney Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emílio Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willian Meireles made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Frederico Toledo sent off a good shot on target. When Frederico Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Sarzeda SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Toledo couldn't finish the play. Paulo José Vaz hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Enrique Arruda thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Willian Meireles, a very annoying self made goal in the 100th minute which led to 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sarzeda SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
