Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Geovânio Ceresso started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Panathinaikos FC's zone, Fernandinho Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agnaldo Leão came out of the goal and Fernandinho Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute Jefferson Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jefferson Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Walmir Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Panathinaikos FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Naldo Marquez hit a great ball. Panathinaikos FC's Agnaldo Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Valle in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Geovânio Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corumba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovânio Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovânio Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Agnaldo Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geovânio Ceresso in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agnaldo Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernandinho Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agnaldo Leão came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Corumba FC's Fernandinho Valle. But to his dismay, Fernandinho Valle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Agnaldo Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jefferson Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jefferson Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Panathinaikos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jefferson Coutinho couldn't finish the play. Geovânio Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Matías de Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panathinaikos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corumba FC the free kick. In the 64th minute, Matías de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corumba FC's Fernandinho Valle managed to work through Panathinaikos FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fernandinho Valle dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Geovânio Ceresso got free in front of the goal in the 67th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Agnaldo Leão was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Fernandinho Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Agnaldo Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovânio Ceresso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Walmir Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Walmir Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Coutinho in the 77th minute of the match.
