Magno Britto made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Fernandinho Valle sent off a good shot on target. Corumba FC's Walmir Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Toledo in the 66th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Geovânio Ceresso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sarzeda SC's zone, Geovânio Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magno Britto came out of the goal and Geovânio Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Emílio Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Emílio Peixoto made a precise shot to the right of Walmir Lima. Corumba FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Sarzeda SC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Augusto Garcia hit a great ball. Corumba FC's Walmir Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Toledo in the 91st minute of play. Frederico Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sarzeda SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Corumba FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
