With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilson Madureira in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dagoberto de Castro saved Situacao from getting behind. When Gilson Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Pune fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Madureira couldn't finish the play. If Gilson Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Artur Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Situacao's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Velloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edinho Fantini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Situacao's Paulo Carioca got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes, Pune's Delfim Matorin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dagoberto de Castro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pune reached it. After a rather tough play, Pune's Luisão Koehler got a free kick in the 17th minute. The Pune fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Pune's Geovani Oliveira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lucas Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pune getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bebeto Nogueira hit a great ball. If Gilson Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Matorin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gilson Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Dagoberto de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Pune's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Andrade came free, but Edinho Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Velloso in the 67th minute of play forced Pune's goalkeeper Edinho Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pune's zone, Artur Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edinho Fantini came out of the goal and Artur Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the match, Situacao's goalkeeper Dagoberto de Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilson Madureira. After some careless play in the Pune defense, Artur Velloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edinho Fantini. The Pune fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edinho Fantini should have stopped the shot. Geovani Oliveira did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Dagoberto de Castro 81 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pune's zone, Gugu Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edinho Fantini came out of the goal and Gugu Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Artur Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Situacao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Velloso couldn't finish the play.
