Luís Fernando Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Carlos Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The wind increased when Nestor Nascimento made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Luís Fernando Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. José Carlos Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nestor Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tambaqui's Mané Tinoco got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mané Tinoco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but José Carlos Urbano made a huge save. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tambaqui's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Washington Guimarães was slow to take the kick. During this time Beneficente SS's players had a chance to rest. Abelardo Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Luiz Guilherme Paraense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Carlos Urbano having to make a save. The Tambaqui players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
