In the 18th match minute, Amanaiara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Maia to maneuver through the defense. Léo do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Tinoco in the 29th minute of the match. Gláuber da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Sousa having to interfere. Olavo Valladares struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Hernani Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amanaiara. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Olavo Valladares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hernani Sousa having to make a save. When Luciano da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored alienware's protests and gave Luciano da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Amanaiara booed when alienware was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, alienware's Hílton Branco got a free kick in the 55th minute. Gláuber da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hernani Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hílton Branco was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. In the 64th match minute, alienware was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hílton Branco to maneuver through the defense. When Amanaiara's Olavo Valladares in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hernani Sousa came out of the goal and Olavo Valladares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Amanaiara's Olavo Valladares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernani Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to alienware getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Gernando Tinoco hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Olavo Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amanaiara's supporters rose to their feet, but Olavo Valladares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernani Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olavo Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Amanaiara fully deserved thier win.
