In the 10th minute Felippe Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Matorin in the 13th minute of play. Manuel Alvarenga was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 14th minute. Seleção Brasileira's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Manuel Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dino de Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geovani Andrade in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Tuyutinga EC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Luís Ferraz hit a great ball. Luís Ferraz charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovani Andrade got free with Dino de Andrade in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Seleção Brasileira booed when Tuyutinga EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Felippe Cardozo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Seleção Brasileira's Benjamin Terra. Benjamin Terra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Cardozo in the 35th minute of play forced Seleção Brasileira's goalkeeper Benjamin Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes, Armandinho Valladares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seleção Brasileira and the Tuyutinga EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benjamin Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tuyutinga EC's Geovani Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armandinho Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Geovani Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Dino de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Manuel Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Alvarenga in the 56th minute of play forced Tuyutinga EC's goalkeeper Dino de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience held their breath when Felippe Cardozo in the 61st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Benjamin Terra's left hand side. Manuel Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino de Andrade having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Felippe Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovani Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Felippe Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuyutinga EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felippe Cardozo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th match minute, Tuyutinga EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Seleção Brasileira's Leonardo Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tuyutinga EC's Dino de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Alvarenga in the 91st minute of play. If Geovani Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Seleção Brasileira's goalkeeper Benjamin Terra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovani Matorin. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tuyutinga EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
