Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nico Brasil started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Agenor Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 7 minutes, Nico Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuparendi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Tuparendi's goalkeeper Nelson Massa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basílio Amaral. When Basílio Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Bode SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Amaral couldn't finish the play. If Samuel Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Samuel Teixeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nelson Massa was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Basílio Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Nelson Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Moisés Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Agenor Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes Bode SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alessandro Maciel who took care of the corner kick. Samuel Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Nelson Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bode SC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuel Teixeira made a kick off. If Basílio Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tuparendi's Nelson Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Amaral in the 57th minute of play. Zé Augusto Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Basílio Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Teixeira in the 63rd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Tuparendi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Samuel Teixeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nelson Massa was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After having played for 68 minutes, Basílio Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 81 played minutes Bode SC got a freekick which was hit by Romário Prata. Nico Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Romário Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nico Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Nico Brasil kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zé Augusto Ribeiro. That made the score 0-1 in the 88 minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Tuparendi's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Teixeira came free, but Nelson Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Teixeira in the 96th minute of play. The Bode SC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Tuparendi to win.
